How to Cook Spaghetti

Spaghetti is one of those foods that we go to as a reliable standby. It’s one of the essentials in every cook’s arsenal. Learning how to cook spaghetti is very easy.
This is how to cook spaghetti
Boil 1 quart of salted water for each half pound of dry spaghetti. Add the dry noodles and reduce the temperature to a slow boil. Stir occasionally. Spaghetti is done in about 10 minutes. Personal preference and the size of the noodles will dictate the actual time required for it to be done for you. One quick and fun method of testing noodles is by taking one out of the pot and throwing it onto the ceiling. If the noodle sticks to the ceiling then it’s fully cooked! (Don’t forget to take it down from the ceiling and throw it away.)
When the noodles are done, drain them well in a colander. If they are to be served with a sauce on the side, toss lightly with a small amount before taking to the table to serve. This will keep the noodles separate.
The sauce you use will dictate the type of drink that will best go with the meal. If it’s a light sauce, stick to a light flavor. If you have a heavy sauce, a robust flavored drink will enhance the meal.
